Facilitation Tips Part 1 General Tips

Role model the behaviour you wish others to use.
Always offer an orientation process and provide support materials for using forums and live sessions.
Practise and encourage active listening/reading and responding.
Be as explicit as possible in your communication, but also mindful of tone.
Do not automatically assume understanding, ask for clarification as needed.
Use irony and humour with care, it does not always come across as intended.
Assume good intent and remind others of this.
